Job Description

SUMMARYPerforms manual labor along a production area. Physically sets up and bends heated vinyl extrusion using a variety of formers and tooling to produce curved window shapes. Will be required to work alone on multiple tables or in a team to produce product.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES1.Uses work order information, drawings, and templates.2.Creates templates when required.3.Heats vinyl extrusion in ovens and tanks and forms material to specific radii.4.Bends and attaches various accessories and components for processing.5.Responsible for quality control. Makes adjustments as necessary to produce product within specification. Reject product out of specification.6.Work within Work Instruction and Control Plan guidelines.7.Follow job safety guidelines.8.Mark product and document any quality control and worksheet information.9.Communicate with operators from other shifts and departments.10.Clean and maintain work area.11.Maintain and turn off equipment when not in use.12.Perform other duties as assigned.Prior experience working with fence is preferred.Prefer experience to be in a manufacturing setting.Must be able to read a measuring tape.Position is full time, contract to hire.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Assist operators in other areas as needed.2.Work in other departments.3.Provide on-the-job training to new employees.4.Order materials when needed.5.Notify Supervisor for replacement tools or fixturing.6.Participate in Continuous Quality improvements by assessing procedures, processes, and practices to promote change.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS1.Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
