Job Description

Adecco is currently hiring several Assembly Operators to work on a contract at our Ottawa client’s medical manufacturing facility.

Our client is a diversified health care innovator with a legacy of pioneering work in medical diagnostics and devices. They are dedicated to advancing innovative with-patient diagnostic technology to improve patient care and system efficiency by fundamentally changing the way health care professionals process patients through their system.

For this role, Adecco offers:

Pay rate: Up to $21/hour Weekly Pay with an additional 4% Vacation pay Different shift options Day or Night depending on availibility Entry Level is welcome as training will be provided.

To qualify for this role:

You must have one year or less working experience as an Assembler You must have successfully completed high school and You must pass a dexterity test and a vision test. Must be able to work a 12 hour 4x4 shift rotation. 

 

Requirements for Assembly Operator – Medical Manufacturing Role:

High School Diploma - Required Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or worked in a fast paced environment Excellent attention to detail Able to work in a fast paced, repetitive environment Excellent communication and problem-solving skills An effective team player Strong computer skills including MS Excel and Word Clean criminal record Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (Days or Nights)

 

Responsibilities for Assembly Operator – Medical Manufacturing Role:

Collaborate and coordinate with Assembly teams to maximize quality, efficiency and throughput. Follow engineering instructions as they apply to builds or experiments Staff manual line positions as scheduled Inspect and monitor quality and line performance in accordance with documented procedures Manually inspect and process rejects from the automated vision system determining pass/fail per process procedures Elevate quality and productivity observations to help minimize defects, scraps and maximize throughput Deliver accurate, timely, and legible record keeping in compliance with procedures Demonstrate compliant gowning and clean room techniques and maintain a tidy, organized and clean workspace Communicate ideas and suggestions for improving the Assembly practices to Assembly leadership Understand and comply with applicable EH&S policies, procedures and guidelines and applicable manufacturing procedures Other miscellaneous duties as required
