Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1.) contributing historical background knowledge to Department of Defense policy and program planning that will impact foreign policy deliberations; 2.) anticipating and meeting management requirements for historical information for both current and long-range program and foreign policy deliberations; 3.) tailoring the scope and emphasis of historical research studies for the most effective use in making important policy decisions; 4.) utilizing expert project management skills to lead special projects on complex, high-visibility historical issues.
