The Manager, Global Master Data Management leads the team of Master Data Management analysts and engineers focused on defining and executing the global data governance framework and associated processes. In addition, the team will coordinate the data cleansing and migration activities to enable the Global ERP roadmap. This position will support many business process areas and systems.The Master Data Manager is responsible for Master Data integrity and adherence to governance standards within Global Master Data Management (MDM). This role requires closely working with end-users, business units, and other business (Finance, Product Management) functions and resources in all stages of day-to-day MDM operations including investigation, resolution, and user testing, to ensure business services and requests are successfully identified, managed, and resolved/closed to customer satisfaction. This individual should demonstrate the highest levels of customer service, productivity, and professionalism. This is a hands-on position requiring strong MDM analytical skills, experience, and business expertise, highlighting the expertise of global MDM in all business interactions.The Manager is also responsible for the coordination and execution of all Data Governance activities for one or more Master Data domains (Item, Vendor, Customer) and/or regions. This person will serve as the focal point for all governance process development for the organization. The Master Data Manager will partner with IT to ensure technical solutions align with business needs. This person will report to the Global Master Data Sr. leadership.. The Global Master Data Department consists of three teams located in the Netherlands, China, and Warsaw. The department reports into the Worldwide Operations organization and is the business owner of all Master Data processes within Zimmer Biomet.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Master Data Manager is accountable for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and management of Master Data. Compliance with business standards and procedures, as well as working to continuously improve data standards, quality, reporting, and processes that includes input, change functions, auditing, and data cleansing.Other activities include but are not limited to:Define and execute the global Data Governance framework and associated processes which includes the establishment of Data Stewards throughout the key business organizations.Develop Business Rule, processes, and implementation guidelines for maintaining and updating organizational (Master) Data.Research data issues/questions and find root causes.Ensure proper training and documentation of all data migration and conversion processes.Explore, recommend, and implement SAP, JDE, or legacy ERP data cleansing and migration tools as required.Lead and challenge Data Analysts to meet or exceed established data timeliness and quality metrics.Develop and implement comprehensive data quality processes and monitoring strategiesExpected Areas of CompetenceStrong communications skills and ability to sell the value of data integrity across the enterpriseExperience in leading global, virtual teams Experience in defining and executing a successful global Data Governance program.Ability to identify and implement key performance indicators that can be used by senior leadership to measure the value of data integrity Experience with cleansing, migrating and building the business rules required to load the data in production database.Experience with Implementing Data Quality Controls.Hands on experience with data cleansing tools. Strong leadership experience in managing technical teams.Work Independently with minimal supervisionEducation/Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Information Technologies or other related fieldsMinimum 5 years of SAP, JDE or related functional experience, with multiple SAP, JDE full cycle implementations preferred Knowledge and experience working with Healthcare industry FDA validation requirements 6-8 years of experience working with global teams and integrated solution testing environments Ability to write complex SQL or ETL statements for data profiling a plus Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing technical teams in a global, remote environment. Experience working in a highly regulated environment, FDA or GDPR preferred Track record and certification in project management such as PMP or Certified Scrum Master is a plus.
