The Psychiatric Registered Nurse is in charge of providing health care for patients who are diagnosed with behavioral and mental illnesses. Responsibilities:As a Psychiatric RN your responsibilities consist of: Implementing medication schedules for the patient and document the results of the patient's condition. Communicating with patients and their families about the condition of the patient and the appropriate ways to deal with their condition. Providing emotional support and companionship for the patient while following a safe, but effective treatment plan. Requirements One year of experience as a Psychiatric RN within the past two years. Current RN License in good standing. Current BLS through American Heart Association. Negative Drug Screen.
